PAPA

I spotted this dollhouse in the Watermelon shop window on Great Western Road. If only I had seen this six months ago the theme would have an entirely different look. When I started research for the collection in June, the dollhouse related material available was modern or victorian colours like dark browns with pink and blue  pastels.On a RARE occassion I came across the 70's style dollhouse.A few days after finding this house I was looking through old family photos finding a few of my dad going through his Sly Stallone phase. I'm happy to see this 70's revival catching on with Marni, Marc Jacobs, and Rodarte.

It’s getting to that hectic time of year again! The collections are keeping us kids up all night with worry.With no sleep is it really any wonder when we cut a big chunk of our hand off with fabric shears? Yes, Sophie Fearnie, I’m talking to you! I’ve decided to lay down the saw for awhile to avoid losing a finger, picked up the super glue and bound them together instead.

I made a case using Yayoi Kusama’s piece “Let’s Carry the Flowers” (below) and her vast fields of polka dots as sources of inspiration.pastels/florals/tea rooms/picnics/springtime.I can feel the hay fever!


Also, a big Thank You to Mary Freeman!a local Glasgow based sculptor who gave me tons of houses to use for an upcoming photo shoot.

Miniature glasses part 1

As some of you know, I've been creating a dollhouse/miniature inspired collection these last few months, and while the garments are still only mocks, I've been sawing away my spare time to make accessories for the collection starting with these puppies:

They might look a little wonky now but some more sanding and cleaning to come.x.
